Toffee Almond Crowns, with a twist


The amazing Steve Gisselbrecht modified his Toffee Almond Crown recipe [pages 131] and swapped out the wheat flour for arepa (corn) flour and made these beauties for my birthday! (Typically subbing out flours like this doesn't work, but in this recipe it did and boy were they delicious.)

Cook Food Every Day will be sold at the "HEY I KNOW THAT GUY" portrait show this Saturday, January 23rd at the Washington Square Arts Center. The event is free and showcases the work of over 50 artists!

Many of the artist from the cookbook have artwork in this show!
